Israel’s U-21 Team Draws Romania In Friendly

In a game featuring many of Israel’s young stars like Gai Assulin, Ben Sahar, Maor Buzaglo, and Almog Cohen; they were only able to fight for a 1-1 tie in Tel-Aviv. Nes Zamir made his debut in the game as well. Many of the first chances fell to the Romanians, and they scored the first goal in the 3rd minute after a mistake from goalkeeper Ariel Harush. However the Israelis quickly struck back with a goal in the 6th minute from Oshri Roash. After that, both sides had opportunities, but failed to capitalize. Israel has a key game with Sweden in June and they will need to improve on their form in order to take care of business.
