I’ve been following Israeli football, on and off, since Maccabi Haifa made there run in the 2002/03 Champions League. I’m amazed how much the Israeli League has improved in terms of quality of the clubs to the amount of money they pay for players. The Israeli League never had million dollar transfers yet I’ve noticed about 4-5 in this year alone. And the salaries for the players have improved dramatically. Five years ago only the top players in the league made over $100,000 a year. Now it seems that $100,000 is what the average player makes.

You are correct but this only applies to the top clubs, top three now, because Beitar has had financial difficulties, this could also be because of worldwide inflation, if you’ve noticed transfer fees have gone way up everywhere….

True, but I notice that even mid-level clubs like Bnei Yehuda and Maccabi Petah Tikva, have quite a few players making over $100K.
