Hapoel and Hakoah Ramat Gan Are Close to Merging

According to the Israeli sports agency ONE, Hapoel and Hakoah Ramat Gan are close to merging with another. Hapoel Ramat Gan is currently in Israel’s Ligat Ha’al, while Hakoah is in the second division Liga Leumit. Both clubs have had financial trouble over the past few years, and a union between the two clubs, would undoubtedly be beneficial to both clubs. They will have a bigger fanbase and be able to have a better squad. I think it’s a good move for the clubs and Israeli football. Both clubs have had a rivalry over the years, but it wasn’t a very intense one. Hapoel Ramat Gan has won one Israeli League Championship, one State Cup, and one Toto Cup. While Hakoah has been more successful winning two Israeli League Championships, two State Cups, and three Toto Cup’s. It’s uncertain when the merger will happen or what league the new team will be in.

I would like to see these mergers as well:

    Maccabi & Hapoel in Herzliya
    Beitar Shimshon & Bnei Yehuda
Maccabi & Hapoel in Beer Sheva
Beitar Nes Tubruk & Maccabi Netanya
    Bnei Sakhnin & Ahva Arraba
