Yossi Benayoun Joins Chelsea FC

Yossi Benayoun has joined Chelsea on a three year deal from Liverpool. The transfer fee is believed to be in the range of five million Pounds. Yossi who has been captain of Israel’s National Team for several years now, is continuing his career path of becoming the best known Israeli player ever. In his three years with Liverpool he scored 37 goals in 172 appearances, and scored in all competitions for the club. Yossi also had several hat-tricks , and was a key creative player for the Merseyside team. He was a fan favorite at the club, but had a falling out with ex-manager Rafa Benitez over not receiving enough playing time.  This led to Benayoun leaving along with interest shown in the player by Chelsea. It is rumoured that Benayoun will receive the number 10 jersey, because Florent Malouda already wears his preferred number 15 jersey. In other news, his fellow National Team teammate, Tal Ben-Haim is still searching for a club after pricing himself out of a move to West Ham.
