News and Rumors

  • Gai Assulin  has extended his loan with Brighton until the end of the season, Assulin expressed his desire to continue there and Brighton’s manager Gus Poyet also expressed his satisfaction with the extension. Assulin has appeared in four game for Brighton so far this season.
  • Maccabi Haifa will try to come to terms with Maccabi Netanya’s current Manager Reuven Atar, by the end of the week. Atar is a former Haifa star and has had successful spells managing Maccabi Netanya and Beitar Jerusalem. I think this the best choice for Haifa to replace their current manager, Elisha Levy
  • There is speculation that Maccabi Tel Aviv will try to hire both Avram Grant and Ran Ben Shimon in the off-season, I think Ben-Shimon would be a good hire however, I think Avram Grant would not be a good hire, as he is simply not a good manager.
